12/10 update!

Hi, hello!! Oh, wow let me tell you it has been a WHIRLWIND of so much going on here at Dirty Pillows HQ! Going to try and update as much as I can remember what people have been reaching out about lately!!

This week we are working on completing any orders unfulfilled between orders from #1793-1824, This includes all early November Dracula wall pillows!! Mid/Late November wall pillows are being assembled next week, along with most tote orders from that period. The only mid-November order's that won't be fulfilled and out by the Holidays are the Dracula and Black Phillip heart pillow bags. 

Those are still projected to be finished by LATE DECEMBER / EARLY JANUARY! This is a very small team, and they take MANY steps to make, and unless it was rush ordered the bag will be completed when we assembly line style batch make all of them at once. That will take a long time and we're still in the process of both making orders and prepping the many of the pieces that go into making each bag. If I don't reply to a direct DM or email for these please don't take it personally. I'm trying to post everywhere and everywhere to let people know. 

We're bringing a small batch of Krampus back for this Friday's update!! WOO! and we're going to be doing our $20 hair bow sale as well that was meant for Black Friday. Finding the time to complete make to order items and also make ready to ship items for drops is a balance we're slowly finding a more regular rhythm in. The big, BIG goal for 2026 is to get into that flow, and while we're talking about it! Let's get into some of what I hope for our team in 2026!

Now that we've got different products that are in demand a lot and I've got a regular assistant that is KILLING it at making those products we hope to be able to open a small batch of orders for those each month. This will help up make stock for both orders and upcoming events!! This also really helps with confirming work for my assistant each month and the reliability of paying them their worth! And let me tell you I couldn't NOT do this job at this volume (or joy) without my assistant (and bestie!) Dana. So, tell your friends when the popular shit opens back up for ordering. That friend who complimented the bag and was bummed to see it sold out? Send them the post when it reopens for sales!! because by doing this it also allows me to focus like 85% of my time on making small batch items that will be READY TO SHIP more often. Small collections each month and one-of-a-kind items more often! This will also be able to open me back up to take small number of commissions again.

I quickly realized as a business owner who has a million things to juggle that I absolutely cannot take the time to pause and properly creatively switch my brain over to corresponding and crafting proper commissions. I originally thought it was going to help open me up to more orders, which it totally will and I cannot WAIT!! but right now, as we grow and my ADHD brain is struggling to juggle different tasks all the time, I need to start to slowly integrate a proper routine for so many other factors of our business before going back to commissions. I CANNOT WAIT, but it's just not the time at the moment. 

I saw team a lot in here because the best thing about 2026 is confidently going into the year with a strong team. I worked SO MANY terrible sewing jobs where it never felt like a proper team and honestly, it bummed me the FUCK OUT. I love sewing so FUCKING much and no one seemed to be happy where we work. No one wanted to have fun or even enjoy being there, therefore leading to just the MOST depressed working environment and it was killing my passion for sewing. The biggest goal is to turn this into a small team of people who love being a part of this, who are PROPERLY being paid, and passion is brought to the table with our products because we love to be creative!! What a concept. Creatives being paid for their work! Things like our most ordered products continuing to be in demand helps make that happen so God damn much! 

I can't wait to start working on my end of year NEW YEAR NEW ME small batch collection. I've started to design some things and prepping to get them underway this week. Previews coming soon! As a Capricorn I'm obsessed with New Years related goals and pushing yourself and just fucking making the most of the bleakest time of the year baby!!!
